Lexus 2014 GX400 Car Brake Line Convex Nozzle Flexible Steel Braided
Introduction
As we all know, the four wheels of a car are always jumping up and
down, left and right, and the damping and steering will not cause
the brake drum and calipers that are covered in the rim to also
jump. Therefore, it is impossible to use hard metal pipes for the
entire brake oil circuit. In fact, between the body suspension and
the wheels, the metal oil pipes are replaced by soft rubber hoses.
The rubber hose can be flexed and stretched, so that the pressure
can be transmitted freely to achieve the effect of braking.
1. Overview of brake steel hose
This rubber hose is most likely to cause the brake pressure to
weaken. Because the rubber material has considerable elasticity,
when the brake pedal is stepped on, the oil pressure suddenly
increases, and the brake pressure is partially converted into the
outward expansion of the rubber oil pipe, and its inner diameter is
therefore forced to increase. The pressure in the brake oil circuit
drops due to this change. What is the result? As the braking force
becomes smaller, the braking distance increases and the braking
time becomes longer. This does have hidden dangers to the safety of
automobiles, especially in the case of high-frequency and
high-intensity braking, the defect of rubber tubes will become more
and more obvious. The solution is to replace rubber hoses with
steel brake hoses. Although the inside of the brake steel hose is
still made of rubber, the outside is bound by a metal braided mesh
leather, hence the name brake steel hose. This metal skin mainly
restricts the expansion of the rubber hose, so that the braking
force will not be lost due to expansion!
2. Features:
Effectively improve braking performance
The brake steel throat structure is a rubber tube covered with
high-strength steel wire, and a layer of anti-wear layer is added
to the outermost part, which has a stronger anti-expansion force.
Generally, the original rubber hose will swell a little when the
brake is stepped on, which will weaken the initial braking
response. Switching to a steel hose can improve these phenomena.
After installation, you must turn the direction to the limit
position on both sides, confirm that it will not scratch other
parts, and ensure that the brakes are stepped on as much as
possible.
Notes on installation
The length of the steel hose should be appropriate during
installation. If it is too short, it will not be installed. If it
is too long, it will actually affect the delivery of brake fluid.
When installing, there should be no discounts, no twisting up and
down, and a suitable length is reserved for the front wheel to make
room when turning. Also pay attention to whether there is a contact
point in the suspension modification or the original steering jump
position, and there should be no safety hazards due to pulling or
friction. In addition, the brake fluid is very corrosive. After
installing as much as possible, be sure to rinse the brake fluid
thoroughly with clean water and blow it dry with an air gun. A
certain amount of installation experience is required, rather than
simply installing this modified part.
